my exit strategy would be to either sell the company in 5 years or keep it in the family for years. There is a debate only because I would have to see where I am in those first five years and determine whether it would be smart to stay or leave. I obviously would love to keep it long term and work My way up to the top of the chain and have a sustaining business. That just may not be feasible and it will be a decision based off of facts. Either would be considered a success though because no matter what I did what I set out to do. Nobody stopped me and it was on my terms, not all businesses are there forever so selling out wouldn’t crush my spirits but comfort me in the sense that somebody wants to continue to use my idea. Having it in the family though for years after I left would also be something special because I would have the knowledge of being on top and having that satisfaction.

How to fail at everything and still win was a book to teach you how to see the world a little bit differently. Understanding that failures will come in life and that doesn’t mean you can’t reach your goals. Everything is possible until you stop going after your goals. There were three main points I took away from this book. They are: Goals have two inherent flaws, so build systems instead. Wherever you’re most comfortable taking risks, that’s where you should apply for jobs. To find your own energy schedule, think of activities in terms of space and time. I encourage everyone to read this book to uplift your moral on what you think you want to do.

Failure is one of those things that is among the inevitable. The thing about failing is how you respond to it. There is plenty of reason to be upset with it and not learn from it. But the ideal scenario is to take the ways from failing and apply it in a way that you will be successful in the future. There have been many times in my life we’re I have failed and failed miserably, but I have never let those failures define who I am. To bring a relative topic of failing, I failed to submit two discussion posts due to procrastination and a full work schedule that I was focusing on more than school. Missing those discussions only made me focus more on this class so I can complete it with a passing grade that is subjected to the effort I really put in. Learning from screw ups and doing your best to decimate them is the only thing to do. Grow, don’t go backwards.

After talking with interviewers in the golf market and describing what I was offering, to m surprise they didn't have much to add to my concept. They agreed that the product was going to be valuable with the long lasting release and also they thought the idea of making money down the road would be beneficial. The super independents number ne concern was for me to not try and get 100% of the courses business because just like I am a business, they are too. They may enjoy the product and all the features it brings but they still have a budget each year. They will most likely average out the percent of business they give me at around 60%. If I can reach that for each golf course I tend to then I will be doing well along with them reaching their budget. This is something I don't necessarily agree with but was surprised to their response. They still would give business to others to me seems like to simply keep them in business as well. They don't want a monopoly agency out the...

24- Conner Fertilizer

Tour like golf courses are what every individual who plays the sport likes to see in their local course. Though that may not be a complete possibility due to budgets and number of course workers, the best play for your dollar can be achieved easily. There are many formulas for fertilizer out there in this world. Not many would come to the average persons head when asked, but let me introduce you to my product. My fertilizer has a product called polyon, polyon is a fertilizer that is coated with an environmentally friendly coating and that coating is bonded together by heat process to the actual fertilizer so there is no air space in-between the coating and product. This gives us a lot of room to play with due to the fact that it will be controlled releasing and a much longer release than competitors. Due to the fact that the release points last longer, the number of applications per year will be shrunk compared to competitors. Let's say that we compare two fertilizer products, one ...

Resources: 1. Polyon, only one who has rights to this product. Others try but haven't found success. 2. Higher prices, gives the product quality that others have to compare to. 3. Environmental friendly, does not pollute or have runoff once used. 4. Customer service, each person working will be professional. 5. Custom blends, What ever the customer needs, it will be provided. 6. Multiple options besides fertilizer, Anything that isn't fertilizer to help the course look amazing. 7. Lower amounts of apps/year, Saves money over a period of time. 8. Diverse, We have many courses that we can tend to, not just high end but all kinds. 9. American product, American products numbers are trending down but this will push it in the right direction. 10. Growing opportunities, We can go from golf courses to farms or nurseries. More options. Top resource option would have to be environmental friendly.  You can have the best product in the world in agriculture but if you don't ...

19A-Idea Napkin No.2

1.) My name is Garrett Conner and I am going into my senior year. I am a FRE major and really looking forward to graduation to get my career going. I have been in sports my whole life and continue here playing football, these years of playing sports has really taught me how to work hard and do the job done right the first time. I aspire to have great relationships with my customers and every time I surround myself with them I want them to feel like they can trust what I have to say. 2.) I am offering to my customers a fertilizer that is a control releasing based on temperature instead of moisture. My product, Polyon, is a one of a kind fertilizer that is environmentally safe and has no leaching into ground water because once all the fertilizer has been used, the coat dissolves and doesn't clump up in a big mess or hurt the environment in any way. A big difference in a lot of other controlled or slow releasing fertilizers. It will be more expensive but it will last longer so with...

Somebody that would be perfect to sell fertilizer to would have the following characteristics: Male, middle aged, not super wealthy but works for a golf course that has a high budget, would drive a truck that is in good condition, has a family and kids who are avid golfers, smart and has a big chemistry background and agronomy, has moved multiple times for a job but found a stable at his current, trusts what I have to say and takes advantage of my knowledge. Ethnicity doesn't matter, my avatar more reflects me than anything but over all he would be a smart level headed man who wants to get the best product and doesn't mind spending money to get quality. The things we would have in common are golf for starters and wanting to do the best possible job. Striving for excellence is important and being a family man who spends time with his family would be an important part to his life. The similarities would be important because it is easier to sell to a likeminded person rather than ...
